This beautiful English majolica platter was produced by Copeland, the Staffordshire ceramics company that today is called Spode. Copeland majolica is known for its beauty and quality, and this is exemplified by the amazing condition so many of their pieces are in after, in some cases, over a hundred years of use.
I would love to see this piece used for entertaining, however it would also make a beautiful and interesting plate wall addition.
