The beautiful floral etchings on this jam jar are what initially aught my eye, and upon picking it up its weight speaks to its quality and durability. While it has no maker’s mark, I think this is a well-made silverplated piece. Originally likely intended to be used as a jam jar, you could store things like matches, hair ties, or any small odds and ends that need to be collected and out of sight.
