This crock was made in 1991 in Seagrove, the heart of North Carolina’s pottery-making region, by Shelton’s Pottery. It is great proof that spongeware is absolutely a classic, even though it is indeed enjoying a bit of a boost in popularity at the moment. The Carolina blue glaze immediately caught my eye, and the quality of this piece will ensure you are using it for many, many more years. I like it best for storing utensils by a stove.
