I believe this one is coming off of a long sojourn in a garage or storage unit - I’ve cleaned quite a bit of dust off of him!
The mirror has a wooden frame, and the eagle atop it and rosette and leaf detail on the bottom are made of a synthetic material that I think is resin, and has been attached to the wooden frame. There is visible wear to most of the wooden balls (chipped gold paint, no damage to the wood balls themselves) and two visible chips in the resin which I’ve included photos of. The mirror itself also has visible black flecking but I actually think that adds character to the piece. The mirror is held in place with nails around the back of the frame (while the mirror is adequately held in place as-is, you could add additional nails if you’d like to it be more secure).
Given the eagle and other “carved” details are made of resin, I believe this is a reproduction made at some point in the mid-20th century. It has developed a nice patina over time and the wooden frame gives it an elevated look versus similar Federal mirror reproductions produced in fully synthetic materials around the same time.
