The details on this piece! The embossed pattern (leaves?) on the lid and base, dash and dot pattern around the middle and the almost bird-like handle - so much visual interest, not to mention the pattern visible in the cut glass insert.
This piece has lots of patina (read: perfect shine isn’t attainable on this one) but I think it adds to its character. The glass insert makes cleaning for food service easy! All she needs is sugar, olives, or a favorite condiment and a serving spoon.
